Bryn and Jay’s beach wedding at Hyatt Ziva was perfect from start to finish, with picturesque views and relaxing environments at every turn. The wedding day style was formal and timeless, only feet away from the ocean in Cancun, Mexico. To kick off the celebration weekend, they had a welcoming party for their guests that featured fire dancers and plenty of delicious appetizers and drinks named after the bride and groom’s dogs! But the real event started the next day.
Their service was held under the Gliff Gazebo, with hues of blue and pink surrounded by white drapes hung between pillars and blew in the sea breeze. They were encircled by bridesmaids in blush and groomsmen in classic suits, matching Bryn and Jay’s decore scheme perfectly. There was even a special guest in the form of a lizard there to listen to their written vows!
Many of Bryn and Jay’s portraits were taken on the beach, where they quickly fell into the idea of being on the other side of the camera. Before their wedding day, the couple had never taken professional photos, so they were nervous that they wouldn’t know how to pose. But I quickly made sure that they were comfortable and at ease, so the photos would look effortless and natural. Bryn still looks back at her photos daily, reliving her big day and all of her favorite moments!
One of Bryn and Jay’s favorite parts of the day was near the end when they were finally able to party and dance with all of their guests. Under strands of fairy lights, the couple had their first dance to Waiting On The Day by John Mayer, which held special meaning to them because of the many years that they had been together before getting married. Following speeches by their family and friends, along with the cake cutting, the rest of their guests quickly flooded the dance floor, lighting up the photos with bright, vibrant colors. As the night began to wind down, Bryn and Jay exited through a tunnel of sparklers held by their closest friends and family.
I’ve picked some of my favorite photos from the gallery that fully encompass the feeling of the wedding, along with showcasing the beautiful beach environment the bride and groom chose in Cancun, Mexico. Do you guys have any favorites?
